Chilly! Temps register 6 degrees up in Hubbard Park this morning. We should celebrate because the cold weather is keeping our trail conditions smooth and silky.
- Hubbard Park: Being groomed right now.
- North Branch Park/North Branch Nature Center: Lower trails groomed Friday night and should be in good condition. Word from Montpelier Area Mountain Bike Association is that upper trails are riding great on fat bikes.
- Morse Meadow/Harry’s Haven/Sherwood Forest/Sparrow Farm: Not sure if they got groomed yesterday by ORN, but should be in good shape given the chilly conditions.
- U-32: Fields groomed for skate and tracked, woods groomed for skate.
Just finished grooming Morse Meadow Harry’s Haven and West Wind field. West wind is in great shape, groomed quite wide for Skate skiing and an outer edge tracked for a classic. Might be able to get to spell farm field and the upper loop and might not 🙂
Pretty much everything is top notch. West Wind, Sparrow Farm, Harry’s, and Dots Meadow were groomed this afternoon by a combo of Geoff and me. Tracks set where we could. The connectors have been groomed recently. Hubbard and North Branch were groomed this morning by Parks staff.
We did have some wind over night and yesterday. If you see twigs and branches down, help us out by flicking them off the trail. Extra points for doing so while moving.
