We are still working through the question of access through the Antonovich property (fields east of North Street). Skiers should not use the section of the VAST trail from Harry’s directly to the southern North Street crossing. As Geoff Beyer posted on Saturday, VAST has closed this section of trail and we do not have permission to use it. Skiers wishing to access West Wind or Harry’s from the Sparrow Farm field need to do so on foot using the roadways. I will be putting up some more obvious barricades today and a revised map is forthcoming.
The land at the northern crossing east of North Street where the trail crosses onto to the Duncan property (Where the Heart Ice Sculpture was last year) recently was purchased by skiing friendly owners who have allowed our continued use.
As always, please respect all landowners’ wishes and privacy. We cannot have these trails without their immense generosity.
