Grooming Update 2/28/2022

Cold morning but the sun is helping and the weather looks really nice this week. It looks like we’re in for another week of great conditions all around our ski trail networks.

Montpelier Parks, Onion River Nordic Ski Club, and Montpelier Area Mountain Bike Association are all working hard to help you get the most out of this winter! Here’s the latest update on trail conditions:

Hubbard Park: groomed today. No tracks anywhere (not enough fresh snow on top of the ice)

North Branch Park & North Branch Nature Center: Ditto. MAMBA has been having difficulty grooming Fat Bike trails due to prevalent ice under the snow, so those remain closed to bikes for now.

North St. Trails: Groomed this morning.

Golf Course: Groomed with skate lane, no tracks yet.

MHS/U32: Assumed groomed with skate lane and tracks.

Also, here’s a simple breakdown of where you can take dogs:

Dog friendly: Public Parks (Hubbard Park & North Branch Park). Please follow canine codes of conduct in each location.

No dogs: All trails maintained by Onion River Nordic Ski Club & Schools (North St., Golf Course, U32, MHS).
