The golf course is groomed for skate and classic, as of 8:30 this morning (Thursday). The trail and tracks are soft, but with the colder temps over the next two days, we should see things set up really well.
Please remember (and help spread the word) that the golf course and other trails maintained by ORN as well as U32 are dog free. And if you see someone walking without skis or snowshoes on groomed trails, kindly ask them to not. It takes a village – and a lot of work – to have quality grooming. Thanks.
From Montpelier Parks:
Hubbard Park: groomed this morning.
North Branch Park & North Branch Nature Center: Will be groomed later today. Fat Bike trails probably too soft to ride still.
North St. Trails: Still in great condition. Will be groomed again this evening or tomorrow morning.
MHS/U32: Assumed groomed with skate lane and tracks.
Also, here’s a simple breakdown of where you can take dogs:
Dog friendly: Public Parks (Hubbard Park & North Branch Park). Please follow canine codes of conduct in each location.
No dogs: All trails maintained by Onion River Nordic Ski Club & Schools (North St., Golf Course, U32, MHS).
