Registration is now open for the Onion River Nordic Ski Club’s Bill Koch League kids cross-country ski program this winter. This instructional program is open to kids ages 4-10 and will take place on Saturdays 1:00-2:00 p.m. starting January 7 and running for seven weeks.
We are also in need of some volunteer coaches, please reach out if interested – you don’t need to be an expert, just an enthusiast! (And we can assign you to coach a specific group, for instance if you want to coach your child’s group.)
The venue will vary between U-32 or the golf course at the former Elks Club property. Skiers will need a set of skis/boots/poles; parents typically accompany skiers (especially younger skiers) on snow. Onion River Nordic Ski club has a limited supply of used equipment to rent for the winter; Onion River Outdoors offers a season-long lease program as well. Program cost is $55 for Montpelier residents / $65 for non-Montpelier residents.
